The CCA’s Annual Picnic was held on Oct. 9, 2011 at the Chinese Community Center. It was a huge success with over 130 people attending. The food was delicious. The menu included hamburgers, fried chicken, stir fried vegetables and fried rice. Many thanks to May Lee, David Moy, Benny Wong, Bobby & Erica Lee for preparing this meal. The fellowship between friends and family was enjoyed by all.
There were games of ping pong, chess, dominoes & checkers. It was a great time to catch up on family weddings, grandchildren and graduations. Thanks to Alice Tow for giving painless flu shots for those brave enough to get them. The next opportunity for Flu Shots will be at the Thanksgiving Party.
The following saturday ( October 15, 2011 ), the CCA was a service organization for the annual Wine festival. Many thanks to the volunteers who sold beer and water to the crowds at the festival. It was a beautiful Autumn day. It was lot of fun for all the volunteers. Thanks to Gary Lee, Aldrich Chu, Bobby & Erica Lee, John Wong, Ann Wong, Mark & Tiffany Smilor, Brian Kaneta, Betty Kue, and Bonny & Mike Chan for manning the booth!
