The CCA celebrated its 30th Thanksgiving Celebration on Sunday 11/20/11. It was a great time for all who attended. There was wonderful food, and it was a great chance to see old friends and family. Many thanks to Lillian & Sonny Barbo for organizing the efforts to cook this delicious meal. Also thanks to the following volunteers for their help: Benny Wong, May Lee, David Moy, Betty Kue, Patsy Wong, John Wong, Alice Tow, Alice Wong, Ruta Mah, Lisa Eng, Cindy Wong, Helen Wing, Lily Moy, and Ann Wong. Over 150 people attended.
They all enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving meal. We have generous portions of turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, sweet potatoes, collard greens, ham, apple & pumpkin Pie. The big winner of the raffle was the Gessler Family. They took home a color 19′ TV for the boys.
We also want to recognize Dr. Peter Chang for his 20 years of service for the senior citizen’s luncheon. He is turning over the leadership to others and taking a well deserved break. Thanks again for all your service to the entire community.
